The ultimate Napa Valley experience begins here. There is no other Wine Sensory Experience that compares. This is an opportunity to have an unforgetable, fun and unique experience learning all you ever wanted to know about wine. Taste a little, laugh a little, learn a lot. The Wine Sensory Experience will be the best thing you do on your trip.
You'll start with with several hands-on "blind" sensory exercises where single smells divided into flights for example: fruits, herbs, floral smells to prepare your nose and palate for wine tasting. Other opportunities to explore the world of wine include a chocolate tasting, glass comparison and barrel oak component comparison. These exercises are developed to create a memory bank of smells for recall at your next wine tasting opportunity. We'll discuss information on appellations, vineyard management, wine making styles, aging and other influences which all play important roles in the intricate development of the character of every wine.
The sensory exercises will be effective immediately and improve your ability to describe the complex array of aromas and flavors perceived in a wine. No one is too smart or too novice for this experience.

I grew up in the Napa Valley and have been fortunate enough to have lived, and worked in the wine industry for over 30 years. Growing up in the heart of the Napa Valley I helped my family hand plant their first vineyard and open a small family owned winery releaseing it's inagural vintage of 1982 under the label La Jota Vineyard Co. Since then, we've come a long way from stomping those first vintages with our feet and using a hand drawn basket press!
